Here's your opportunity to work on a landscape designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, father of America's public parks! Unearth a lost entrance to the carriage road leading from the servant wing at Stonehurst to the gardener's cottage. Reestablish connections between houses and fields, and expose a century-old rhododendron dell.
Meet at the main entrance at 10 am.
Please wear sunscreen, bug spray, long pants, socks, and closed shoes, and bring your gloves, loppers and/or a pruning saw!
Will reschedule in the event of rain.
Cosponsored by the City of Waltham, Waltham Land Trust and Friends of Stonehurst.
